Project Manager MES

ATS Global is looking for experienced Project Manager to lead international projects of MES implementations.

The Position

Project management role leading to Effective and successful implementation of Manufacturing Intelligence (MI), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Control projects with internationally based companies.

Objectives of the role:
  • Effective and successful implementation of MES projects with global leading companies
  • Commercial point of contact with clients
  • Budget management and accountability

Taks and activities

Project Management of large MES roll outs:
  • Manages the project through following phases:
    • Functional Design
    • Technical Design
    • Factory Acceptance
    • Implementation
  • Manages Multiple Site Roll Out through above phases
  • Manages Resources for these projects:
    • MES System and Solution Architects
    • MES Application Consultants
    • MES Simatic IT/SAP ME/MII engineers
    • Assures the development of the above resources (skill, training, attitude and growth into next roles)
    • Back up of roles
  • Drives Quality and adherence to programming standards

Use the power of strategic initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma to offer customer orientated solutions and provide advice and guidance.

Develop and propose Manufacturing Intelligence (MI), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Control solutions to leading global companies.

Prepare quotations for:
  • MES implementation
  • Service Level Agreements

Customer Facing Responsibilities:
  • Main point of contact with client
  • Commercial point of contact with client
  • Budget management and accountability
  • Develop and maintain project plan in conjunction with Programme Manager and Technical Lead
  • Ensure the project is executed in accordance with the approved plan, and that all deliverables are prepared to meet the approved schedule, and the deliverables meet the customer’s quality standards
  • Co-ordinate and monitor site activities
  • Progress Reporting
  • Responsibility for managing commercial change control

Skills and Experience

  • Prince II Practitioner and /or IPMA certified
  • Leadership skills and proven experience
  • Excellent planning and costing capabilities
  • Good documentation and writing skills
  • Lean/ Six Sigma knowledge and practical experience
  • Knowledge of MES / SCADA/ PLC applications
  • Preferably knowledge of Siemens Simatic IT or SAP ME/MII
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Projects
  • Can smoothly interact with people on different levels within our customer’s organisation
  • Multicultural experience
